Amanda Carroll - Owner ICFish & PADI IDC Staff Instructor
I first started working in scuba diving in 1995 whilst travelling around Australia and landed a job with Pro Dive; Cairns on their liveaboard boat as a Cook. I paid the Instructors with chocolate cake to teach me everything they could and quickly worked my way up to Divemaster and then in 1996 travelled to Thailand to work and do my PADI Instructor course. In the following years I authored two of my own Instructor speciality courses (Shark & Marine Turtle) whilst working in many fantastic locations from; Maldives, Dominican Republic, Mexico; Egypt, Spain; Crete; Bermuda & UK. I worked from the bottom up teaching learn to dive through to Instructor level courses; I've 10 specific Instructor specialities but my real passion will always be teaching the beginner courses; I love to see people’s faces when they breathe underwater for the first time. My kids (Ollie & Zoe) aged 10 & 12 learnt to dive in Kenya in 2018; we had so much fun that it ignited my passion to set up my own kid’s scuba diving centre here in Sydney.
As a parent I understand the importance of my job as an Instructor looking after your kid’s introduction to scuba diving which is why providing the highest standards in safety, instruction and equipment is our priority.
My emphasis at ICFish is to teach Kids & families to dive at their own pace in surroundings where they feel comfortable and relaxed. Everyone is different and I understand that the client’s safety and comfort are paramount.
My mission at "ICfish" is to focus on providing the best kids scuba diving programs in Sydney.
My job is to ensure that your kids introduction to scuba diving is of the highest standards.
